1 rooftop lounge with empire state view, 2 birthday cakes, avenue, bottles of champagne,  artichoke pizza, and hot dogs at 5 am. Best birthday ever with the best friends a girl could ask for!!

Party like its my birthday

Thanks everyone for the bday wishes...and for everyone who made it out with me this weekend! I started out friday night at Hurricane Club for dinner. Then we went over to Riff Raff. Riff Raff is pretty nice on the inside...and the cool part is they paint your face! Jess and Pat came all the way from New Jersey...thank god...Jess has an amazing camera and got some cool pics!

Saturday for my bday I headed over to brighton beach to get my tan on and ended up running into some friends. After we got back to the city we hung out on the hudson river at the frying pan.

I then headed over to the new Dream hotel rooftop...amazing view with the empire state building! Perfect way to end my birthday... jessica and stephanie decided to show up after first going to the wrong place! They brought me a cupcake...love you girls! Of course we were a little messy eating it and the workers werent too happy. Over all amazing bday... Hello 22...

Happy Birthday Dressed2love!

March 31 marks my 1 year of blogging! Seriously...from here on out I will consider March 31st my 2nd birthday. It was the day my blog, my leggings, and my dreams of becoming a designer started to become reality. For all of you who just started following check back at some of my very first and favorite blog posts!

In the past year I have been called a super hero, stopped in the street on a daily basis, spent my whole day picking out fabric and my whole night sewing it, have been called the legging girl instead of my name in several convos, sewed my finger (thank god only once), and even been laughed at by NYC tourists...Silly tourists--these leggings are for fashionistas only!!

I had quite the journey. I even ended up taking on another blog (http://www.missgustto.blogspot.com/). Balancing 2 blogs, a full-time job, and sewing leggings, AND a social life is not an easy thing...Thank you starbucks, Thank you all of my followers...and Thank you family...you have been here with me through the good times and the hard times...It sure has been one heck of a year! I can only imagine what's more to come... :)

Tomorrow I might have to stop by Magnolias Bakery on my way home and get a cupcake to celebrate:)

Got my Ruby Red Sneakers...There is some place like home...NYC :)

For my big 2-1 I got the best birthday present ever from my friend Pamela! 

I have been obsessed with The Wizard of Oz since I was barely able to walk. When I was younger I insisted on walking around in public with my ruby red slippers that my mom at the time had made for me. What an embarrassment it must have been! I wouldn't even allow my family to call me Devyn, it had to be Dorothy or else!

So, my friend made me a new more New York appropriate ruby red slippers--out of converse!! It was love at first sight...and a flash from the past....
