Hey Gold Member

I am in love with this new fabric I got. I wore it out and got a lot of different reactions with these leggings from a lot of people (I mean come on it isn't that loud in here, I can hear you). I secretly don't care what they think about them, if they love them or not...because deep down inside I love them because they are my own creation from my own mind :) Besides people aren't gunna love everything you make...

Disco Shorts

The other night I got invited out to a party put on by Stylecasters. It's a cool networking blogger website. The party was at this cute little grunge rocker club on Lafayette street called Santos Party House. Of course, I have to go to such party wearing something I made and earlier that day I just happened to get new fabrics.

Overall it was a fun time. I got to talk and network with a lot of cool people, listen to a few live bands, and wear my cool new shorts :)

Sometimes it feels good to splurge...

I most likely didn't need these shoes but lately I have been a little stressed and working sooo much on fashion events, making clothes for people, and my most recent project running two blogs! So I guess I deserve to spend a little money on myself...right? And how can you say no to shoes like these!!!

Style Icon

I was pretty excited this weekend because I got to do a little bit of shopping :) (even though living in SoHo I technically shop everyday). I found a pretty cool t-shirt from Victoria's Secret...totally fits me

Later I was a bit bored with my lime green Swatch watch that I got. Everyone has them...they are cute and trendy...so in order to make mine a little different I put my own twist on it...I added flowers :)

Dressed 2 Love

This week I was up in the garment district and they had a cool fashion exhibit going on in the street starting at times square and going all the way down to herald square. 30 of the leading designers showcased their own personal idea of fashion. Maybe one day I will be one of them :)

Le Souk

This time Pamela gathered up her 8 cool models for another event (red carpet this time) at Le Souk, a cool hooka lounge/bar. Of course this time yet again, even though she was showing the same dresses, everyone thought it was a different collection. It was a fun night of pictures, dancing, and having fun while dressing in fashion. We always impress people with our little entourage (dream team). We have our amazing hair and make-up artists, the models, the few designers and stylists, and photographers! Without all these amazing people, it wouldn't work soo smoothly...

once again...my italian stallion...i love you...no bad romance here...

3 Rockers I Would Love to Dress

1. Lead Singer of Metric
2. Lead Singer of Yeah Yeah Yeah's
3. Lead Singer of La Roux

If I could dress anybody tomorrow these would be the three people I would dress...So now the question is...what would I put them in? My own creations of course!

Metric "Gold, Guns, Girls"
This is what she wore for a concert...

But I would put her in this...
 shorts: by me

blondie vintage t...most likely I would alter it a bit...something more like this...

all the gold and all the guns couldn't get you off

Yeah Yeah Yeah's "Heads Will Roll"
This was her in her outfit for Heads Will Roll music video

...but this is what I would put her in...
dress: by me

If she want's heads to roll...she's just gotta wear this dress

La Roux "Bulletproof"
her outfit

...what I would put her in...
leggings: by me

hoodie: American Apparel
If she wants to be bulletproof..she's gotta check out my leggings :)

Photoshop 101

You guys are most likely thinking that all the cool photoshop stuff I have on my page took me hours to make.

WRONG. It's actually pretty easy...i'll walk ya through it :)

First I took this picture:
Then, I cropped it with the cropping tool to make it look straight and how I like it.

Next, I took this picture (one of my senior photos)
I traced the desired picture with the pen tool, selected, and then dragged it over to the city background. Then I made the colors look brighter and also made my face image transparent. I also threw in some cool words of inspiration...to get the final product...

The final image took me all of three minutes to create :)

Home is where the heart is...

The minute my plane landed in NYC, I felt at home. I moved out here with two suitcases to my name. That's pretty tough to do when you are an 18 year old with a closet half the size of your room. Some days I look back and wonder how the heck I went from a small town girl (a town of 2,000 people in Minnesota) to a girl who knows how to work the crazy city of NYC. For the first two years of my life in New York, I focused on school and had very few real friends in college. I mostly sat in my room sewing and drawing, since I was a little behind in skills. I had a lot to learn about this city.

Then I met Pamela. A girl from Italy, who came to New York to also follow her dream. For the first time in my life, I felt like I met a girl after the same heart as me. Someone willing to do whatever it takes and to learn everything she has from the people around her. So many people talk without listening. But those who get somewhere in New York listen to what everyone has to say, even someone who has little to say.

The minute I met Pamela, I knew, even though I couldn't understand a word she was saying (haha :P) that we were gunna be best friends. 2(?) year old born and raised in Italy.

Now 1 year later...here we are...taking over New York...pushing fashion to it's limits.

3 fashion shows later...several doubters later...too many boys later...
...still following our dreams.

The sky isn't even the limit, because we have no limit.

Thank you Pamela, for being my best friend, and for inspiring me to follow my dreams even more :) and for helping me to become that much closer to who I am. I know I wouldn't be this far without you...Happy 1 Year...and MANY MANY more to come!! :)
