Weekend Fun

I had quite the eventful weekend with work in between. I finally got my Christmas tree :) and I made sure I decorated it fashionably.

I spent a whole 20 minutes with Pamela running through the christmas tree shops on the street...I really wanted to buy one of the real ones- they smelled soooo good. But I don't really have space in my apt so I will have to settle with the cute little pink one:)

 smells soooo good!

Before our little tree adventure me and Pamela went to brunch at Pelea (a Mexican Restaurant)

 frozen margaritas

Then after brunch and wandering through NYC forests I went to dinner with my roomie and her mom for her mom's bday at the carlton hotel. The restaurant was beautiful inside and the food was good...we ended up walking home after dinner and having a little bit of girl fun in the city wandering through parks and checking out the christmas window displays.

Overall: Busy but good Thanksgiving weekend :)

Don't Mess With Texas

I have officially sent off leggings to my first customer! Someone in Texas is going to be dressed2love...I hope she likes them :) and that she can have the same love I have when I wear them. I have made stuff for people before but she is my first real official customer that isn't a personal friend of mine. It's kinda funny too how the pair she ordered was actually the first pair I ever made...the pair that started it all...maybe that's some kind of good sign...either way I'm excited beyond words...hopefully this is just the start :)

My leggings are off to texas. And as we all know-don't mess with texas!

Grease

The other night I finally watched the movie "Grease" for the first time in my life. I know, sad. I am 21 and this is my first time watching it. I guess because when I was younger I was too busy watching Wizard of Oz to bother with Grease.

About 5 minutes into the movie, I was in love. I think this may be my new fav. Maybe I can get a new fashion inspiration from this movie. It's hard to not be in love with the bad boys look in this movie. The leather jacket, plain t, and rolled up skinny jeans....

I think my favorite part of the movie was in the end...It kinda reminded me a little bit of the transformation I have made over the few years I have been in NYC. I went from a preppy small town style to new yorker semi-rockerish look.

solutions.

I found a solution to still being able to wear my cute woodies even in the cold weather...SOCKS.
jeffrey campbell wedges, american eagle socks

This weekend I had some fun in Williamsburg...me and Pamela wanted to catch up on our vintage shopping. We had quite a little adventure and learned a few lessons- 1. dont trust a blackberry GPS in brooklyn 2. dont stop at a gas station and ask a taxi car driver directions...it makes you look vulnerable and a lady will ask you if you want to buy an old babyphat jacket. 3. next time just take the L into williamsburg.
 Photoshooting by the graffiti
Scarier parts of brooklyn...Who left their cups there?
Follow the hipsters...they will lead you to Williamsburg
 There is still hope!
your lucky if your clothes make it out alive.
 empty streets and broken glass
 A photographer shooting...jealous!
What you will find here is a mystery.
Oh the places you will go
We love Williamsburg...but we are always happy to go back to Manhattan.
and have a date at Dallas BBQ
Are you free saturday night?
$6 leather jacket :)
Pamela's several finds...
