Guns N Roses

This weekend I headed over to Buffalo to do a little D.I.Y. with an old t-shirt. I tried to keep it simple and rock star chic by just adding some studs around the neck and the sleeves. It gave the old tee more of an updated trendy look. Now I can't wait to wear it :)

Studding out a tee is pretty simple. All you need is studs, pliers, and an old shirt you want new again.

You can get studs in bulk at spikesandstuds.com. Evenly space the studs to your desirability. Im pretty good at eyeballing it but use a ruler for accuracy.

My first night out on the town wearing them I got a whole lot of little mermaid jokes. I guess it didnt help that I wore a seafoam green american apparel sheer blouse and some flowered litas. My outfit screamed little mermaid.

Patterned to the Max

 Mixing prints and patterns was always my strong suit. Whether I actually mixed them well when I was 5 it didn't matter.

I believe I still have the matching capabilities sometimes of my 5 year old self...but hey, at least finally it's in my favor for upcoming spring trends. 

Mixing as many patterns together in a way that they suddenly match. A kaleidoscope of patterns. Mixing without matching. 

One day I will be cool too.

Blue Monday

I have been experimenting alot lately with this confetti fabric but in pink. When I saw the blue...a design immediatly popped into my head. (Maybe I have just been watching too much Planet Earth--Under the Sea)

 

Since I have been peplum obsessed I thought it perfect.

 

And after going to open mic night around the corner from my house...I got inspired for the name :)
