No, My House Didn't Land On A Witch.

Soo...the past few days I have been kinda in a sad mood...Don't really know why I guess just a lot of personal stupid emotional stuff. On the bright side two orders this week! :) Both orders were my super cute gold disco shorts...one pair off to Mississippi and the other off to Ohio...Yay! Go more Midwest orders. Crazy thing: You all know my obsession with the Wizard of Oz. Well lately I downloaded the series which is really 15 books and have been reading it on my book reader. In the real story Dorothy's ruby red slippers aren't really red...they are silver. They used red for the movie because they figured it would look better on technicolor. Anywho...Shortly after recieving my Mississippi order and having such crazy luck with trying to ship it...I find out a whole bunch of tornadoes went through the south. That day at Buffalo Exchange came in my very own "Modern Dorothy Slippers" as I will call them. Mui Mui glitter flats. AMAZING. I had to have. I mean it's not every day a pair of glitter slippers come flying into the store as if a tornado dropped them off from some far away land. So I decided once again to sell some old stuff...and get these amazing new glitter shoes. I really needed them in my life. I mean would you have let them go? I don't know if I can even wear these things down the streets of New York, but that never stopped me when I was 5! A part of me really wishes they were red...But no matter what color they are...they are glitter! :) This is my first pair of high end designer shoes...hmm...this could be a problem.

"There's No Place Like...NYC"

So, everyone is most likely wondering how the show went last night...well if you weren't there you def should have been! It was quite the show. Thanks to the amazing models, makeup artists, Juliet, our friend Chris, all of our peeps that came, the photographers, and of course Pamela...none of this would have been possible. Thank god everything went smoothly...other than the fact that the hair stylist backed out and I myself had to do 17 girls hair including my own. Good thing I have some hair styling skills...all ya need is some hairspray and a teasing comb and your good to go for runway hair :)

Pamela, once again your dresses and shoes were amazing! And thanks for collaborating with my leggings and helping me to make something that was a dream of mine come true. Without you I don't know what I would do half the time! And no matter what tough things we have to go through...we always have our amazing fashion! We all truly have a talent...and if we can all work together we can all make it together.

Thanks again everyone! And remember...follow the yellow brick road...and your dreams will come true.

Here is our Wizard of Oz inspired collection...Click your ruby slippers 3 times...and say "There's No Place Like NYC..."
Enjoy the show
The biggest and prettiest backstage we have had yet  :P

"There's No Place Like New York"

Follow the yellow brick road to Juliet Friday Sept. 17th 9pm! Me and Pamela are finally getting together and collaborating on a Wizard of Oz inspired collection. I'm inviting anyone who reads my blog that wants to come! There will be leggings by me and shoes and dresses by Pamela Quinzi Design.

Just like Dorothy says..."Toto I have a feeling we aren't in Kansas anymore." You will feel like your not in NYC anymore :)

Got my Ruby Red Sneakers...There is some place like home...NYC :)

For my big 2-1 I got the best birthday present ever from my friend Pamela!

I have been obsessed with The Wizard of Oz since I was barely able to walk. When I was younger I insisted on walking around in public with my ruby red slippers that my mom at the time had made for me. What an embarrassment it must have been! I wouldn't even allow my family to call me Devyn, it had to be Dorothy or else!

So, my friend made me a new more New York appropriate ruby red slippers--out of converse!! It was love at first sight...and a flash from the past....

Me in NYC...following my yellow brick road...with my ruby red converse :)
