Patriotic VS Fashion

How much attention can a girl get wandering around NYC with American Flag legs? Let's just say a whole lot. I love seeing the reaction from people when I wear crazy things such as these leggings. I got all kinds of comments and some special treatments :) Everything from "your sooo patriotic" to "you remind me of a spice girl".

But anywho I went up to columbus circle again...wandered by Central Park...and then went to the Top of the Rock. It was a bit chilly but I got some amazing pics of the view! It's kinda scary being sooo high up...but I love the feeling of looking over this amazing city and knowing that anything is possible down below.

And last but not least...I love the new Barbie marketing!! Soooo awesome!

Just own the night...like the 4th of july

Do you ever feel like a plastic bag
Drifting throught the wind
Wanting to start again

Do you ever feel, feel so paper thin
Like a house of cards
One blow from caving in

Do you ever feel already buried deep
Six feet under scream
But no one seems to hear a thing

Do you know that there's still a chance for you
Cause there's a spark in you

You just gotta ignite the light
And let it shine
Just own the night
Like the Fourth of July

Cause baby you're a firework
Come on show 'em what you're worth
Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!"
As you shoot across the sky-y-y

Baby you're a firework
Come on let your colors burst
Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!"
You're gunna leave 'em fallin' down-own-own

You don't have to feel like a waste of space
You're original, cannot be replaced
If you only knew what the future holds
After a hurricane comes a rainbow

Maybe you're reason why all the doors are closed
So you could open one that leads you to the perfect road
Like a lightning bolt, your heart will blow
And when it's time, you'll know

You just gotta ignite the light
And let it shine
Just own the night
Like the Fourth of July

Cause baby you're a firework
Come on show 'em what you're worth
Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!"
As you shoot across the sky-y-y

Baby you're a firework
Come on let your colors burst
Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!"
You're gonna leave 'em all in awe-awe-awe"

Boom, boom, boom
Even brighter than the moon, moon, moon
It's always been inside of you, you, you
And now it's time to let it through

Cause baby you're a firework
Come on show 'em what your worth
Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!"
As you shoot across the sky-y-y

Baby you're a firework
Come on slet your colors burst
Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!"
You're gonna leave 'em all in awe-awe-awe

Boom, boom, boom
Even brighter than the moon, moon, moon
Boom, boom, boom
Even brighter than the moon, moon, moon

Kimberly Taylor Fashion Presentation

So tonight I had quite the exciting fashion night! I love fashion week. Everytime it comes around it seriously gives me more hope that one day I will make it as a designer. I actually came across the invite almost on accident. My manager at work said she wasn't going to be able to make it and that she would pass the invite along to me. All I can say is THANK YOU!

The event was a presentation of Kimberly Taylor's collection. I am not going to lie I was a bit scared to go since it was such short notice I had no time to text any friends to come along...but it was too great of an opportunity to just sit at home! So I threw on some leggings, my JC shoes, and some glitter. Good to go. Hopefully the event is not full of a bunch of fancy shmancy people.

As soon as I arrived I felt like I was seriously in some kind of dream whirl. How the heck did I end up here...The blogger from www.manrepeller.com spotted me immediately and said my outfit was perfect for her blog...HAHA manrepellent tell me about it...my leggings have been repelling and distracting boys since day one. Several other bloggers asked to take pics of me...everything from my leggings to my jewelry to my shoes! Bloggers eat your heart out :) I felt slightly cool for a few minutes. I even ran into a photographer that I knew from my fashion show at Juliet...and he was my personal photographer for a bit! Gotta love networking in new york. I met tons of stylish bloggers and people from stylecaster.

Anywho enough about me...now about the show...The models all had a little boyish kinda look. Pieces of leather were added to make the soft flowy fabrics look more structured. I loved that the collection was all dark and then with the pop of red! It was def a good show to see...and a learning experience...if Kimberly Taylor...25 year old fashion designer can do this amazing showcase, I know that me at 21 has a long way to go...but maybe by 25 I can be that girl too!

So here is the footage from the show...

JC Strikes Again

I know I have a problem...But I really couldn't pass these shoes up when I saw them (JC pony hair leopard print wedges)! I was dreaming of these shoes every night but the price tag was a bit out of my range at $194. But don't worry I actually didn't even pay a dime for them because I sold some of my older clothes at Buffalo Exchange to get them :) Gotta love that store. You can actually take all your old stuff in and get new stuff!! Best idea ever for those shopaholics...and the new store in Chelsea (26th between 6th and 7th) has everything from Louis Vuitton shoes, Coach purses, Betsey Johnson dresses, to even some vintage pieces...It's my blogs best kept secret...why spend a million dollars on things when you got Buffalo Exchange in your neighborhood!
